Welcome to our Newest Nurse Practitioners!
Esperanza recently welcomed our two newest clinicians, Family Nurse Practitioners Mena Soliman, DNP, CRNP and Charles Young, CRNP, MSN! They joined our clinical staff earlier this month after completion of Spanish language training.
Mena Soliman, DNP, CRNP received his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the Temple University College of Public Health, and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Pennsylvania State University. He looks forward to providing primary healthcare that is centered around his patients with consideration to the social determinants of health. During his free time, he enjoys fishing and walking his dog. Mena will see patients at our Hunting Park site.
Originally from Queens, NY and a graduate of State University of New York at Binghamton, Charles Young, CRNP, MSN received his graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania School Of Nursing and previously worked as a emergency room nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. After observing the patient-centered care and the commitment to love people with the love of Christ at Esperanza during a shadowing experience, he knew that he wanted to join the health center’s clinical team. He is thankful for the privilege of caring and walking with the community at Esperanza in their journeys with God. Charles will see patients at our Kensington site.
Continuing to Build “Pillars of Hope” at EHC
Thanks to everyone who has given to our Pillars campaign to date… whether through a one-time gift, or by turning in a Pillars bank filled with coins! Our “4 Pillars, 4 Days, $40K…4 Hope” campaign earlier this month exceeded our expectations, with many gifts from individuals, churches and foundations, including a lead gift from the Huston Foundation.
We’re excited to report that renovations will start very soon at the beautiful former bank building (above) that will soon be our new Kensington health center, with an adjacent parking structure to be built. We’re also working to complete the plans for our new community health & wellness center. Stay tuned for updates on these projects in the coming months through our E-News! You can learn more about our Pillars campaign here.
