Kaitlyn Castro
Kaitlyn Castro was promoted to Behavioral Health Associate in 2026. She originally felt drawn to Esperanza Health Center by its longstanding commitment to Philadelphia’s Latino community. The opportunity to work bilingually while incorporating mental health care into patient care felt like a natural extension of her commitment to serve. Faith and a love for caring for families are at the heart of her work. She hopes to be a bridge between medical and behavioral health, between clinical care and lived experience, and between systems that too often exclude and the families who deserve to be fully seen. Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys walking with her dogs, being curled up with a good book, or cooking something new with her husband. Her favorite verse is Micah 6:8, “He has shown you what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” This verse is her daily reminder to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly. It’s a calling to show up for families with both compassion and integrity every day.
