Substance Use Support

Substance use support at Esperanza combines supportive counseling with medical treatment to support the goals of patients who use substances such as opioids, including heroin, fentanyl, and oxycodone pills, as well as cocaine, methamphetamine, alcohol, and other drugs.  Medical and behavioral health providers utilize a holistic approach to integrate medical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of recovery. Services are provided in both English and Spanish.

Esperanza’s substance use support program is available at all of our health center locations.

For anyone interested in joining, they may come to any site for a pre-screen, or call 215-302-3600 ext. 220, Monday through Friday, 9am- 3pm, to determine if they qualify for the program. An intake appointment will be given once qualification has been determined.

Qualifications to join include:

  • Anyone 18 years or older
  • Seeking assistance with any substance use (opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine, alcohol, nicotine vape, etc.)
  • Willing to change their Primary Care Provider (PCP) to Esperanza
  • Committed to supportive counseling appointments – group and individual
  • Committed to regular medical follow up appointments
  • Willing to provide urine samples at each appointment
