Dr. Sarah Wilson Named Fifth Street Site Medical Director!

Congratulations to Sarah Wilson, DO, who was recently promoted the position of Fifth Street Site Medical Director at Esperanza Health Center. Dr. Wilson, who is a Family Medicine Physician, joined the Esperanza team in 2017. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, she earned her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Ehrling Bergquist Clinic.

Community Living Room

Seeking to Engage with our Kensington Neighbors

With a desire to be salt and light to the people of our Kensington & Allegheny
community, during the month of July Esperanza staff have participated in a
Community Living Room on the sidewalk in front of our Kensington site.
Twice each week, a number of our staff members have set up a table and tent
seeking to offer prayer, conversation and free drinks to community members.
Said Rosa Mack, Esperanza’s Behavioral Health Administrator: “I’m thankful
that so many people have been encouraged by our simple gesture of cold
water to drink, and by simple conversations.”

Kensington Site Update

We’re now only weeks away from the completion of our new Kensington
health center and parking structure! The crew from Target Building
Construction is working on the final stages, and we hope to see the first
patients at our new facility in the early fall. Stay tuned for more updates!
